missle test

Okay, three steps into this blog world, and I can already tell you I need a good recomendation on a more functional blog. I'll pay for it if I have to ! just please give me somthing I can cut and paste and i'm a happy (blog)man. Maybe just a tutor would do ?

Speaking of needing help, Jersey City's WFMU began their fundraising marathon on Monday. They are here on the net and on a thing called the radio at 91.1 FM. Or if you really want to help, you can also volunteer to man their phones during the marathon. The marathon ends up with an DJ-Staff Live Band Karaokee Party and also feature's Yo La Tengo's Pay to Play performance. FYI their office has Asteriods in it.

of course you can help out 58 buy wearing this

Tonight I am back at the Lamp Post. Just in time for minus 20 degree wind chill. They have great heat, I guess it's just a matter of getting there without freezing ? Bundle -up, whiskey is awaiting. Friday I am dj-ing the closing reception for Ken Vallario @ 919 Gallery (150 Bay St) Come in stalkers ?

It was a fuller than full JC Friday last week, even if you missed things becuase you can not be in three places at once, the galleries usually leave the stuff on the clothes line to dry for a couple of weeks. so.. Go here for a full listing. At 58, you can the visit the Liminal Offerings of Henry Sanchez, our doors with be open this Saturday from noon to 5 pm for a last chance to see Henry's show. On the 15th, we open up the 99 cent dream store with works by Maurizio Zuluaga.

Currently, Grace Van Vorst church is looking for artists to submit material for their Catherdral Art Festival and Fundraiser. Artist's have until March 9th (this Friday!!) to enter their stuff, this is a multi-medium event so whatever floats your art boat or art house boat will do. Go here for more info and the 60/40 split details.

Art House Production’s run of Camino Real began last Friday and runs until the 24th, you can pick-up tickets through here . In addition, the Attic Ensemble is Presenting Intimate Apparel this weekend check here for showtimes

If you are you looking for gigs and that a-hole at 58 doesn’t have space to book you? Don’t take it personally, you can always try Matt at Lucky 7’s, he’s looking for a few acoustic acts (singer/songwriters 1-2 people max) to play weekly at lucky 7s. And you can contact him here Or if you are a full band try contacting Jude at the Lamp Post for Saturday Nights or you can also contact Augie from for gigs at the Iron Monkey on Friday and Saturday Nights. Also the Corkscrew is featuring solo artists on Monday Nights.
